Pineapple Dance Studios Best Fitness Facility of the Year - London Lifestyle Awards 2012
Pineapple Dance Studios won Best Fitness Facility of the Year at the London Lifestyle Awards 2012.
Members of the public were invited to vote for their favourite fitness venue in the capital. 4,127 businesses and personalities vied for one of the prestigious awards and 202 businesses successfully progressed to the final competition stages to compete for the trophies. In total a record-breaking 207, 006 public votes were cast, making this event the most exciting yet.
Pineapple founder Debbie Moore OBE collected the award at the renowned Hurlingham Club in Fulham, at an event attended by dance celebrities including choreographers Arlene Philips and Brian Friedman.
The award was presented by Alex Gregory, Olympic Rowing Champion 2012, and Fitness Expert Jean-Pierre.
Debbie said "It was an honour to receive this award voted for by members of the public. Pineapple Dance Studios has been at the heart of London’s creative community since 1979. This award shows that, more than ever, Londoners are interested in exploring dance. It is a physically demanding discipline, as any dancer can attest, but one that gives a great feeling of beauty and a sense of real achievement to anyone who participates."
The London Lifestyle Awards were founded in 2010 to honour the lifestyle businesses in the capital whose work has made a real difference and a true contribution to London and the people living in the city.
This year’s ceremony was held on 17 October at the renowned Hurlingham Club in Fulham and was the most hotly contested yet.
