Team England sponsored by Pineapple won Dance World Cup 2013 – this international dance competition attracted 2900 dancers from 26 Countries across the world – taking place in England for the very first time.
The dance competition was held at the Dome Theatre in Brighton, East Sussex.
Team England danced their way to victory, with Team Germany hot on their heels coming in second place and new to the competition Team Spain in third place.
The results were announced at the Gala on Saturday 6 July at the Dome by young film star Isabelle Allen, who recently finished playing the young Cossette in the West End Musical of Les Miserables, and who also stars in the award winning film in the same role. Isabelle presented the Dance World Cup trophy to Team Manager Jo Arnett on stage infront of a packed audience of dancers, teachers and their families from all over the world.
The dancers came from the best dance schools across England to form the winning Team! The Team included Rhys Yeomans, from Centre Pointe, Rhys played the leading role in Billy Elliott in the West End and then went on to SKY 1’s Got to Dance where he got through to the top ten finalists. Rhys won Gold in Boys Ballet solo aged 14-16 years and also took the Gold in Boys Modern Solo aged 14-16 years.
Dance World Cup 2014 will be held in Portugal, all gold medalists from Brighton are guaranteed a place in this exciting dance competition.
Pineapple is pleased to announce the opening of Studio ’79, a brand new and exclusive studio rental space at Pineapple Dance Studios in Covent Garden.
The new studio is situated on the new 3rd floor of the dance studios in Langley Street, and has been decorated to the highest standards.
One long wall of the new 60ft x 29ft studio is mirrored, while another boasts original floor to ceiling windows and a brand new upright piano.
The space is ideal for photography sessions as it benefits from one wall of windows, white walls and a neutral sprung Harlequin dance floor, all of which also makes it an ideal audition and rehearsal space.
The new studio space is exclusive to hires and is available for rental from 8.30am – 10.00pm Monday to Friday.
