Debbie’s technique of contemporary dance involves releasing the tension from the body to allow the sequences to flow, and using the breath to enhance the quality of the movement.
Friday 6pm to 7:30pm: Intermediate/Advanced. This class is primarily for those with at least some previous experience in dance of any style, and preferably some knowledge of contemporary technique. The sequences are longer and more complex than on Saturdays, and are taught more quickly.
Saturday 5pm to 6.30pm: Beginners. This class is aimed at beginners but everyone is welcome to join. The focus is on body awareness and spatial awareness, and involves floor work and travelling sequences.
Prices: Fri 6pm £6, Sat 4:30pm £7

DEBBIE SHINE
Debbie Shine has been teaching Release/Limon contemporary classes at Pineapple since 2004, and also works with RAD Step Into Dance, gDA, Hammersmith & Fulham ALSS and Cloud Dance Festival.
She is the Artistic Director of Shine On! Dance company and has worked in London at The Place, Riverside Studios, the Cochrane, Jacksons Lane and others, and in her hometown of Cork, Ireland she has performed in the Opera House and the Everyman Palace.
Debbie has taught classes and workshops internationally, including St Petersburgh, Russia in 2010 and Ravenna, Italy in 2011. She trained at Middlesex University, graduating with a BA in Dance in 2001.
She holds a diploma in dance from Colaiste Stiofan Naofa in Cork and is an Associate of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.
To join in a class, you only need be ready 10 minutes before the class starts. If you have Pineapple membership, you do not need to pay at reception.
