Island Rhythms incorporates the Polynesian dance styles from the islands of the South Pacific.
We focus on the traditional and modern styles of the Hawaiian Hula, and the upbeat hip movements of the Tahitian Ote'a.
Against a backdrop of fast-paced drums and graceful melodies, this unique class presents a fun and sexy cultural experience, encompassing fitness and body toning.
Island Rhythms is more than grass skirts and coconuts; each movement signifies something different in expressing the legends of Polynesian culture through a series of graceful hand gestures and super sexy hip movements. After just a few classes, you'll be moving your body in new ways that are both natural and extremely feminine.
Expect to improve harmony with your body while developing coordination, endurance, toning and sensuality.
The class is open to all levels and requires no previous experience.
Krysten Resnick
Krysten grew up in southern California where the Polynesian culture is very prominent, and has been surrounded by it from an early age. Her professional career began at age fifteen with a dance group that is well known throughout the Polynesian world. Her dancing has taken her around the South Pacific, to islands including Tahiti, Samoa, and Hawai'i, to participate in prestigious events and competitions.
Krysten's experience includes performing in local California venues and at international events and television broadcasts, choreographing her own dances and shows, and teaching ages ranging from five to seventy-five. Her love for the culture and dance styles has encouraged her to teach classes in London.
