The class at 1pm includes a technical warm-up to improve strength and flexibility, followed by a short routine using some technique as well as current dance styles.

The class is aimed at those with some dance experience although beginners are welcome. It’s a great class for singers and actors who need some dance ability for musical theatre work.

The 2pm class begins with a technical warm-up to improve strength and flexibility followed by corner work including jumps and turns. The routine has a stronger style and is more technical than the earlier class.

Classes are longer on Thursday and Friday (1.5 hours) and they include more corner work on these days and a longer routine. This class is not suitable for complete beginners.

LINDA DADD

Linda trained in ballroom and Latin American dance until the age of 18. During this time she competed regularly across the south of England and also at the British Junior Championships in Blackpool as part of the Frank and Peggy Spencer Formation team. She also appeared on Blue Peter twice. After graduating from London University with a BSC Hon in Microbiology, she started taking jazz and ballet dance classes at Pineapple Dance Studios. She has performed in various groups in clubs and theatres, in pop videos and on TV adverts.

Linda taught fitness for 10 years all over London and after being a cover teacher for several jazz dance teachers, she started her own classes in 1997 and has since expanded to include classes originally taught by the legendary Molly Molloy.

Her last performance on stage was Resolution in 2004 at The Place, as part of The Company choreographed by Erica Knighton.

To join in a class, you only need be ready 10 minutes before the class starts. If you have Pineapple membership, you do not need to pay at reception.
