The aim of the class is to improve dance capability. Rolfe has a University degree in teaching dance. The class is lyrical jazz, with partner contact, for advanced / professional dancers.
Co-ordination improvement follows the cephalocaudal to proximodistal trend method. The warmup focuses on core control while maintaining plasticity in the spinal area.
Simultaneous 3 axis movement with horizontal plane shifts are used to increase the practical application of ballet technique to lyrical choreographic demands. All complex jumps are broken down to standard three part progressions. Every 9 months, Physio therapists from Pure Sports Medicine review and feedback into the warm up routine. The routines focus on contrasting sequential movement and storytelling.
