Brazilian Zouk with Rio Zouk Fusion

Brazilian Zouk is a beautiful, graceful, sensual and passionate partner dance from Brazil that is making a big impact on the London dance scene.

The dance style first appeared in Rio de Janeiro but is now danced, taught and performed world wide. The fast growing popularity of Brazilian Zouk is also due to its adaptability to different musical genres. It is currently danced to French Caribbean Zouk, Latin and RnB music.

Partner Dance classes: Fridays 7-8pm in studio 9

Brazilian Zouk Partner Dance Classes teach you the principal techniques of leading and following, and how to create and maintain a connection with your partner so that the dance can flow effortlessly.

We believe that partner dancing is about leading from the heart as well as the head. Our teachers are chosen because of their ability to break down the technique clearly and precisely and for their musical interpretation.

Brazilian Zouk styling classes: Thursdays 7-8pm in studio 12

Brazilian Zouk Styling classes allow you to practice and perfect the movements which you will need for the partner dance classes, and to develop skills which will make you a stronger and more sensual dancer.

Rio Zouk Fusion classes focus on developing body movement so that students feel confident, sensual and gorgeous! Time is spent on breaking down the movements, which  are then combined into different choreographies each week. 

Classes cover body isolations, spins, hip, head, arm and torso movements. Each movement has different elements, which can be learned at an elementary level, or make it more difficult by adding arms, head etc. So there is something for all dance abilities.

Rio Zouk Fusion is a Brazilian/Latin/Urban/Contemporary fusion dance company specializing in Brazilian Zouk. All Rio Zouk Fusion teachers and assistants who have been trained in accordance with Rio Zouk Fusion methods and syllabus to ensure students receive personal attention and optimum learning from each class.

To join in a class, you only need be ready 10 minutes before the class starts. If you have Pineapple membership, you do not need to pay at reception.
