Tango with Jenney Surelia

Tango is an improvised dance from Buenos Aires and its concept is an eclectic but compelling combination of culture, music, romance and energy. Don't expect Strictly Come Dancing, do expect to come away wanting to do more!

Jenney Surelia runs courses at Pineapple that provide an eight week introduction to Tango.  If you are starting from no-tango then this is perfect for you.  In each class, basic elements are covered to provide a solid but simple base of Tango know-how for dancing in the milongas (Tango clubs). You won't learn everything about Tango in eight weeks, but you will learn how to dance in a simple and elegant way, the best way to start your Tango journey.

The course runs for eight weeks on Thursdays from 8.00-9.30pm

JENNEY SURELIA

Jenney Surelia is a Tango dancer & teacher born and bred in London. She is passionate about Tango and has been teaching at Pineapple Dance Studios since 2005.  As well as teaching the in the UK,  she has been invited to teach in France and Poland.

An experienced teacher and an expressive social dancer she loves using the music in her dancing, each of her sessions explore a theme; musicality, dialogue, connection, the embrace, and other tango  

vocabulary such as barridas, sacadas and boleos.  With the aim of "creative, communicative + connected", every week she explores ideas that are useful for the milonga.

She has performed at the Royal Festival Hall, at Banqueting House for the Donmar Warehouse, taught at  Sadler's Wells and has twice been one of the official DJs of Capri Tango Festival.

These courses are limited to 10 couples per course, they are not drop-in classes.

Class sizes are limited so pre-booking is essential.
