Nicky Bentley's popular street jazz class continues at Pineapple, with her long time assistant choreographer Mark James teaching the class.
WARM UP
Class starts with a 20 minute warm up designed to develop suppleness, strength & stamina - a series of stretches that mix classic techniques with Pilates, yoga and core abdominal strength.
Devised by Nicky Bentley & Mark James.
ROUTINE
A step by step masterclass, where all learners are shown the choreography (Street & Hip Hop styles fused with the precision of Jazz) in simple sections, building up as you go along.
After successfully adding on 6 or 7 counts of 8, you dance the entire routine to the latest R&B chart releases from the U.K & U.S.A., ending with jamming to the latest dance mix - turbo charge!
MARK JAMES
As a singer, Mark has worked on boy band and solo projects with Andreas Georgiou (Aegean Records/Seltaeb Productions), Dan Glatman (Blue's manager), Peter Lorraine at Polydor and Almighty Records, Smudge Productions, Simply Red and staged fashion shows for Wella Hair as well as singing with top UK party band Mixed Feelings.
He has worked with many major labels including: Positiva as choreographer and backing dancer for the UK promotional tour of the Number 1 hit 'TOCA ME' (or TOCA's Miracle' as its now known) by Fragma, not to mention staging numerous show cases for up and coming singers and performers which he has trained for record label projects.
Mark has also worked with some of the top artists as Nicky's assistant choreographer and produced many major stage shows at London's most famous live music venues. He now hopes to follow in Nicky's foot steps as he continues the success of her class at Pineapple.
