Waacking with Stephanie 'Venus'

Waacking is a dance style originating from the disco era of the underground club scene in the 70s in Los Angeles.

Come and learn this fun popular dance style that has finally found its way to London and rapidly spreading internationally. This genre of dance can be seen from the runway, to music videos, to the clubs with your friends.

This class works on the basic techniques, posing, musicality and building up your confidence so you can steal the stage wherever you are.

Stephanie aka ‘Lady Venus’

Lady Venus has worked on Sky One's number one dance show ‘Got To Dance’ and was assistant choreographer on the international dance show ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ (AU).

She has danced with artists including Madonna, Lady GaGa, The Wanted, Natalie Imbruglia, McFly, The Hoosiers and many more, as well as performing for Xbox, FIFA, The Brit Awards and Nickelodeon 'Kids Choice' Awards.

Lady Venus has trained in waacking in New York with some of the original Waackers and original 'Soul Train' dancers, including Tyrone Proctor and Archie Burnett. She has also trained and performed with the LA Waackers in Los Angeles for ‘We Are Heroes’, on the show 'America’s Best Dance Crew'.

She is a prominent member of UK’s pioneering first waacking crew, The Waacktitioners.

To join in a class, you only need be ready 10 minutes before the class starts. If you have Pineapple membership, you do not need to pay at reception.
