Yoga at Pineapple covers many different styles and philosophies, but most classes are based on Kundalini and Ashtanga yoga.

Kundalini yoga is a physical and meditative discipline within the tradition of yoga, associated with the subdivision of hatha yoga. It describes a set of advanced yoga exercises.

The exercises are also sometimes referred to as Kriya yoga or simply Kriya.

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is characterized by a focus on viṅyāsa, or a dynamic connecting posture, that creates a flow between the more static traditional yoga postures and the breath dictates the movement and the length of time held in the postures.

Unlike some Hatha yoga styles, attention is also placed on the journey between the postures, not just the postures themselves. The viṅyāsa 'flow' is a variant of Sūrya namaskāra, the Sun Salutation.

To join in a class, you only need be ready 10 minutes before the class starts. If you have Pineapple membership, you do not need to pay at reception.
