Pilates at Pineapple helps to develop every aspect of dancers' physical fitness: strength, flexibility, coordination, speed, agility and endurance. The class will heighten body awareness, enhance body control and release tension.
The Class
Through the ten movement principles the teaching corrects posture and alignment, facilitates optimal function of the internal organs, Improves balance and proprioception. The exercises are learnt and performed slowly. The level will be combination of beginner and intermediate exercises with a view to develop some advanced challenges as the class develop. This allows each dancer to improve slowly and progress from a strong beginner to a confident Intermediate.

The mat work helps keep bone structure in an optimal state and improves your core stability. So that you can enter a dance class, knowing your ability and perform with through a finely tuned body..
Caroline Rutzler MA. BA (Hons)
Following a career as a professional dancer, Caroline Rutzler has been a Pilates teacher for over 15 years. She has worked with professional dancers, athletes, rugby players and referred clients after physio.
She has worked in dance education teaching Pilates to Ballet / Contemporary / Musical Theatre dancers and with the general public.
Her aim is give you a greater awareness of how to improve the imbalances in your body to gently infiltrate correct muscle activation.
Caroline firmly believes Pilates can make a difference and improve your training.

To join in a class, you only need be ready 10 minutes before the class starts. If you have Pineapple membership, you do not need to pay at reception.
