Legendary performer Toni Basil visits Pineapple

We were thrilled to welcome Toni Basil at Pineapple recently!

the legendary performer was on tour with superstar Bette Midler; during her whirlwind visit, Toni visited Pineapple, took classes and chatted with staff and dancers.

A regular visitor to Pineapple, Toni was at the studios in the very early days (she even included scenes from Pineapple in some of her documentaries).

Toni Basil is a multiple Emmy, Grammy, and video award winner and nominee. A singer, choreographer, director, producer and one of the founding members of legendary street dance group The Lockers, Toni is a filmmaker who has been at the vanguard of dance and music throughout her career.

Debbie Moore and the cast of Downton Abbey support Great Britain’s Special Olympics team

Debbie Moore joined the cast of ITV’s hit period drama Downton Abbey at a fundraising event in support of Great Britain’s Special Olympics team.

Hugh Bonneville, Jim Carter, Joanne Froggatt and the show’s creator Julian Fellowes were among those who attended the gala dinner at the Landmark hotel in central London.

The money raised will help children and adults with intellectual disabilities get involved in sport. The Special Olympics World Summer Games will be held in Los Angeles on July 25 to August 2, 2015.
