Open Auditions – The Phantom of The Opera

WE ARE SEEKING:
Male & female performers (over 18) of all ethnicities with excellent singing voices and acting skills for lead and ensemble roles.

While we welcome all ethnicities, we would particularly encourage BAME artists to attend.
AUDITIONS WILL BE HELD IN:
LONDON
MONDAY 5TH AUGUST 2019
MOUNTVIEW ACADEMY, 120 Peckham Hill St, Peckham, London SE15 5JT
REGISTRATION: 9AM ON THE DAY
Please note: due to time limitations and potential turnout we cannot guarantee you will be seen. An early arrival is advised to minimise disappointment.

PLEASE BRING:
A copy of your CV, a photo + prepared sheet music to sing (backing tracks will not be accepted)
All artists must be available for a contract starting from 6th January 2020 for at least 18 months and all artists must have a UK/EU passport or already have a full working visa for the duration of the contract.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT SONG SHALL I SING / DOES IT HAVE TO BE FROM THE SHOW?
It doesn’t need to be from the show, we’d prefer you to pick another musical
theatre or opera song but if you only have a song from the show that’s fine.
Must have sheet music, backing tracks not accepted.
DOES IT NEED TO BE A FULL SONG OR A CUT?
Please prepare a cut version (roughly 32 bars) but be
prepared to sing the full song if asked.
HOW DO I REGISTER?
Register on the day. Turn up at the venue at 9am.
No need to register / email / call in advance.
Due to time limitations and potential turnout we cannot guarantee
you will be seen. An early arrival is advised to minimise disappointment.
I CAN’T GET THERE UNTIL THE AFTERNOON
CAN I STILL AUDITION?

Sadly no, you must arrive at the registration time of 9am.
I’M NOT 18 YET – CAN I STILL AUDITION?
You must be 18 by the 6th September 2020 (first day of rehearsals)
in order to audition.
I’M UNABLE TO AUDITION CAN I…..
A, send a video? No – we aren’t accepting video submissions
B, audition another day? No – these are the only open calls we’re holding
currently but please keep an eye out for other auditions in the future.
CAN I AUDITION FOR THE CORPS DE BALLET and
SLAVEMASTER ON MONDAY 5TH AUGUST

No – the Corps de Ballet and Slavemaster auditions will be announced separately.
