Alex Turner

Alex is an acclaimed choreographer and teacher who started her career as a professional dancer following over 10years of extensive training in classical ballet, jazz, lyrical, musical theatre and commercial styles.

Alex works internationally in film, television, theatre, cabaret and music videos. She has worked with many celebrated artists including Michael Jackson, Ronan Keating, Cliff Richard, Jamelia, The Cure and Eartha Kitt.

She has worked with renowned teachers including choreographer Christopher Huggins of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre; she has focused her creative skills on choreography and artistic direction within the entertainment industry. She is also passionate about sharing the knowledge she has gleaned from these diverse dance experiences in her classes.

Alex has an extensive knowledge in all disciplines, bringing energy, style and passion to her students. She is known for her inspiring and challenging classes, helping students improve their technique, performance skills and learn from her knowledge of the dance industry.

Alex’s Jazz will challenge and inspire students in a range of commercial, lyrical and musical theatre styles.

The warm up gives students/dancers the physical tools to improve technically and Alex’s direction brings out their best performance in the choreography section. This class is for experienced dancers from general level to advanced and those wanting to work the industry, with across the floor work in the higher level class. Be prepared to work hard and enjoy the experience!
