Milo Miles

Milo Miles is a graduate of the National Ballet School of Canada and had his formal training with Betty Oliphant C.C., O.Ont., LL.D. who studied under Tamara Karsavina who in turn was trained by Enrico Cecchetti.

Milo Miles has worked internationally with dance companies, choreographers, and magicians.

He worked with Peter Darling as a dancer and Waltz/Pas de deux advisor for the film 'Phantom of the Opera'. Milo was part of the original cast for Peter and the Wolf in London working with American choreographer Doug Elkins, and has guest taught company classes for Disney’s 'The Lion King'.

He was Ballet Master for Tavaziva Dance from 2006-2008 and also worked for 5yrs with Artis Education. In 2001 Milo Miles began to create a new Dance Syllabus combining Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, and Latin. His syllabus, ‘Miloteque’ then used by The Urdang Academy (London) has led to him teaching Master Classes globally.

Jazz-Ballet Barre

Every Tuesday evening Milo combines Ballet & Jazz techniques into a continually evolving Barre syllabus working on core strength and placement. Centre work then combines Ballet, Jazz & Contemporary techniques. Finishing with choreography.

Theatre Jazz

On Saturdays his class focuses on a Jazz-Ballet based centre warm-up that includes Adages, Pirouette exercises, an aerobic jump element and finishes with choreography.






    • Jazz-Ballet Barre

      Milo's classes include his Miloteque syllabus which is Ballet based and falls under the Jazz-Ballet category. A really a good work-out for ALL levels from Elementary to Professional, which works on getting back to basics.
