Sam Hall

Sam Hall is a freelance contemporary dancer, teacher and musical theater performer.

At the age of 16 he moved to the USA to improve his dance education. He competed nationally in dance competitions for two years with nationally renowned Studio Bleu Dance Center in Virginia (featured on Dance Moms), before undertaking a degree in dance.

Sam graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA in Dance and Choreography. He then moved to New York City and performed with NYC-based contemporary dance company “Community Dance Project” for 5 years under the direction of Broadway alum Megan Doyle.

While dancing, Sam also worked at the historic Harkness Dance Center at 92nd Street Y, where he taught future dancers and taking/assisting classes at the famous Broadway Dance Center.

Some of Sam's favourite credits include The Wizard of Oz with “Enlightened Theatrics” and the world premiers of contemporary dance musicals Making BKJKT and The Velveteen Rabbit with “Megan Doyle Dance.”

Sam has a huge passion for teaching and has taught and choreographed in many competitive schools in both NYC and VA. You can currently find Sam around the Pineapple building, teaching or taking classes and working in the Pineapple Shop. He is also a dancer in Dane Bate's all male company, Brothers of Dance.

Lyrical Jazz

Sam’s Lyrical Jazz class always starts with a warm up that combines cardio, classical technique and stretch that will push bodies and allow for full range of movement.

There will be a new combo each week that differs in style but will always challenge dancers with musicality, story telling and high technique level. Come ready to live through the music and dance like EVERYONE is watching.
