WHAT IS MASSAGE THERAPY?
Massage Therapy is a form of ‘hands on’ treatment that involves manipulation of the soft tissue structures of the body to alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasm and stress.
It is one of the oldest forms of treatment known to man. For centuries, it has been used to treat many different illnesses and conditions by applying manual techniques to positively affect the health and well-being of the client.
WHAT IS VOICE MASSAGE?
Voice Massage concentrates on relaxing the muscles that are directly or indirectly involved in voice production. It aims at relieving the tension that disturbs the balanced function of these muscles.
It is especially beneficial for those who use their voice in their work, such as Singers, Actors, Teachers, etc. This technique has been developed in Finland by massage therapist Leena Koskinen in collaboration with medical and voice specialists since 1984.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
Massage Therapy improves the function of the circulatory, lymphatic, muscular, skeletal and nervous systems and may improve the rate at which the body recovers from injury and illness.
Each treatment has variations on its basic form to make it specific to each person's need and requirements. Massage, being used for both treatment and prevention of body ailments, is beneficial for everyone.
